Welcome Hub Grand Opening

In September 2022 Diversity Voice opened its Welcome Hub at Victoria Community Centre.

In September 2022, Sedgemoor Welcome Hub opened! 

The Mayor of Bridgwater officially opened the new Diversity Voice refugee Welcome Hub at Victoria Park Community Centre, Bridgwater.

The opening was attended by around 40 guests including many Ukrainian refugees who have arrived under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, together with their sponsors.

The new Welcome Hub operates at Victoria Park Community Centre, Bridgwater on a Monday as well as offering appointments online and at our mobile Hubs all around Sedgemoor. There are plans to expand the service via satellite hubs which will soon be operational at several additional locations across Sedgemoor. The Welcome Hub offers refugees free advice on a wide variety of issues including housing, benefits, debt, access to healthcare, employment, food vouchers, visas, schooling, interpretation, and mental health support on a drop-in basis. In addition, there is the opportunity for refugees to come together in a social setting for peer-to-peer support with access to range of art and craft activities, English language lessons, a warm space, and refreshments.
