Our current priorities

Here's what our team is working on just now.  We have some exciting plans for 2021, thanks to new funding.  Do get in touch if we can help.

EAL support in schools and early years settings

Our team of experienced practitioners works across Somerset to support children with English as a second language, and provides help for parents raising bilingual children.

Welfare and settlement support for migrants to Somerset

Our community team works with Somerset's voluntary and statutory sectors to provide direct support for migrants.  We network widely to share our findings and aim to help shape inclusive services.

Translation and interpreting

Our staff team speaks 7 languages, but we also have a team of trusted freelance translators and interpreters able
to work in 48 languages.
We work for Children's Social Care,  employers, statutory and voluntary sector organisations and individuals.

Neighbourhood English Classes

Our qualified, experienced language instructors deliver classes across Somerset.  Our model embeds cross-cultural know-how and access to our welfare support services.  We partner with other organisations to offer an holistic service.

EU Settlement Scheme Support

After delivering support for vulnerable communities for a year, we've partnered with Somerset County Council  for added reach in the  build up to the deadline on June 30.  Our OISC-registered staff are ready to help.

Business Support

We are always happy to work with employers who manage multil-linguistic, multicultural teams.  Just now, we're working with employers on staff welfare issues,  workplace language lessons, translations, EU Settlement Scheme advice and cross-cultural issues.
