This year Bridgwater Twinning Week will be spread over 5 days from the 21st to 25th April including the weekend. Bridgwater has 5 twin towns and leads the way in modern day Internationalism for Somerset.

On Saturday 23rd April, at 11am-3pm, in the Bridgwater Town Hall, there will be a drop-in event where anyone is welcome to come and find out about the International links between twin towns. They can also see some gallery pictures or taste samples of international cuisines.

On the same day, there will be an International Twinning Party, held in the Bridgwater Art Centre (from 8pm till 11pm). Some of our international guests will be performing on stage live: AFTER DARK is an Italian rockabilly band, who will be supported by Maltese folk songs, ALIMAJANAAN and her Belly Dancers or IL MALTI TRADIZZJONALI – who are a dance outfit. Finally, flying the (red) flag for the home nations, will be RED SMED and the Hot Trot Smash the System Boogie Band.

The evening event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £10.
